The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials, or AASHTO, is an organization that represents the highway and transportation departments for air, highway, rail, water, and public transportation in the U.S.A. .

AASHTO standards testing cover all the different modes of transportation. AASHTO standards  testing include guidelines for design and construction as well as for maintaining existing transportation modes, and managing transportation. There are more than 1,500 standards all with the intent to ensure efficient construction, improve maintenance, and create safe designs.
