NIOSH Analytical Methods Testing and Analysis

The United States National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health NIOSH  publishes a Manual of Analytical Methods. The methods detail sampling and analysis of contaminants in workplace air, and in the blood and urine of workers who are occupationally exposed. NIOSH developed these analytical methods to established experimental protocols and performance criteria.

NIOSH Analytical Test MethodsNIOSH recommends that all analytical methods should be evaluated for performance. If the analytical method is used in a laboratory that did not perform the initial evaluation, verification should be performed for comparison.

ContractLaboratory.com has helped many companies with their NIOSH Testing and Analysis. Below are some examples:

  • NIOSH industrial hygiene laboratory needed for occupational health testing 1, Benzene (Method: NIOSH 1501) 2, Perchloro Ethylene (Method: NIOSH 1003) 3, Ammonia (Method: NIOSH S347) 4, Naphthalene (Method: NIOSH 1501) …
  • Industrial Hygiene laboratory needed for NIOSH Testing for organotin compounds (NIOSH 5504, using AAS)
  • EMA Accrediation, USA based laboratory needed for Industrial Hygiene Testing to STMP, OSHA and NIOSH methods
  • NIOSH, OSHA, EPA Industrial Hygiene Laboratory needed for NIOSH, OSHA Industrial Hygiene Testing for amount of bituminous coal on repairable dust …maybe we can take a pump let run for many horas to collect a lot of repairable dust ( NIOSH 600 ) and then do the analysis for % of bituminous coal dust …so we can do just regular repairable dust and say that in these samples we have XXX mg or ug amount of bituminous dust..Do you have un analysis that can tell me the amount of bituminous
  • California NIOSH Industrial Hygiene Laboratory needed for NIOSH industrial hygiene testing of manufacturing plant workers for Airborne metals, dust, carbon monoxide , we would like to test for lead, copper, and nickel
  • Certification Laboratory needed for NIOSH Testing of Activated carbon used in respirator applications. independent test certification when approaching such large customers and the performance of the carbon alone will not be sufficient. Therefore, we are planning to test a few samples of our respirator carbons in a recognized laboratory as a preliminary step until we build our own in-house gas breakthrough testing facility.
  • Europe or Asia OSHA, NIOSH, AIHA Metallurgical Laboratory needed for testing PNAH, Welding fume, Fluoride particulates – total more than 30 samples
  • Canada Analytical Chemistry Laboratory needed for Inorganic Acid Gas Testing per NIOSH method 7903
